Pay rate starts at 20$/hr.

Job Description

As a 3rd Welder, you will perform a variety of duties to support manufacturing processes. This role involves setting up and using a MIG welder, as well as various other welding techniques to ensure precise and quality construction of components.

Responsibilities

Use and set up MIG welder according to job requirements.

Layout, position, align, and fit components together for assembly.

Secure parts in position for welding by bolting, clamping, and tack welding.

Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts using cutting, grinding, carbon arc, or oxy-acetylene torch.

Read blueprints or follow verbal instructions to perform repairs and fabrications according to customer specifications.

Ensure compliance with all internal policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in welding, grinding, and blueprint reading.

Ability to set up and troubleshoot welding machines.

Capability to train others and lead within the shop area.

Demonstrated ability to work with minimal direction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

D1.1 Certification preferred.

Experience with flux core and aluminum welding.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of both indoor shop work and outdoor tasks, requiring adaptability to varying temperatures and weather conditions. Be prepared for loud and dusty conditions, particularly in the paint prep area, where sanding and other equipment may be running. The presence of a smaller paint booth means there may be paint fumes at times. It is essential to be comfortable working in non-temperature-controlled environments, especially during summer.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
